Notice of availability of technical assistance: By March 7, submit letters of interest for assessment of barriers to TOD.
Communities across Connecticut are turning their attention to transit-oriented development (TOD) that supports walkable town centers with opportunities for new housing and employment and that improves quality of life for existing residents.
Barriers such as out-of-date zoning codes and other regulations and lack of consensus around where and how to grow can make implementing TOD challenging. Tri-State Transportation Campaign and Regional Plan Association plan to provide technical assistance to municipalities and/or nonprofits seeking to address these barriers.
Assistance may include assessment of existing zoning and regulations, walkability audit, a workshop, and a final report outlining implementation options. For more details, download the Request for Letters of Interest here. Letters are due by March 7.
