The TOD Line is a website concerning transit-oriented development (TOD) in Southern New York and Western Connecticut. It is produced by the Land Use Law Center for Sustainable Development at Pace Law School in White Plains, NY through generous support from the One Region Fund in the New York Community Trust, the Fund for the Environment and Urban Life of The Oram Foundation, Inc., and the Congress for the New Urbanism. Technical support has been provided by Parsons Brinckerhoff.
The website is based on two premises: first, TOD fosters more livable, economically viable, socially equitable, and environmentally sound communities; second, opinion-molders and practitioners need a forum for the collection of information about regional TOD advances and experiences. To this end, the website highlights regional and national best practices, model programs, legislation, market trends and specific projects. Its content also offers problem-solving experiences to guide local officials, developers and advocates.
